Program Description
This introductory course is designed for those who want to work in the health care industry in a more advanced position. A basic knowledge of medical terminology is recommended but not required.
This Three day program is designed for RN’s, LVN’s, CNA’s, EKG Monitor Technicians, and those enhancing their career in healthcare industry in general. No experience in the medical or nursing field needed. The material focuses on the essential information needed to interpret basic dysrhythmias.

Topics Included:
This course includes fundamentals of the anatomy and physiology of the cardiac system, understanding basic EKG monitoring procedures, using a heart monitor, recognizing lethal and stable rhythms, sinus, atrial, junctional and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as heart blocks. This is a demanding course that requires an intense commitment to learning and understanding the complex concepts associated with the cardiac system.
